The authorities investigating the pizzas sent anonymously to legislators, police leadership of the United States Capitol: Fuentes

The federal authorities are trying to determine who has anonymously pizzas that are sent to the houses of US legislators throughout the country and the homes of those who help protect these legislators.

Mysterious deliveries have the authorities worried that they may intend to send a threatening message, according to sources from Congress and others familiar with the matter.

Both the Democrats and the Republicans in the Chamber have received the non -requested pizza deliveries, according to the office of the President of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson. The pizzas were also sent to the current and previous leadership of the United States Capitol Police, the sources said.

“These recent pizza deliveries are worrisome and, once again, they bring to light the landscape of elevated threats in which we are living,” said the Capitol Police in a statement to ABC News. “Violence and threats, of any kind, attacked to elected officials will not be tolerated.”

The Capitol Police said they are “working with our federal, state and local partners to address the matter.”

Although many of the pizza deliveries arrived last weekend, since the Minnesota authorities ran to find the man who allegedly fired two state Democratic legislators, the deliveries began before the Minnesota attack, said a source of the Congress.

The Minnesota shooting left one of the legislators and her dead husband. The alleged gunman, Vance Luther Boelter, was captured on Sunday, and the federal authorities said he appointed even more potential objectives in the writings they say they found, including more than 45 federal and state democrats in Minnesota.

“It is only the most recent example of violent political extremism in this country, and that is a trend that has increased in recent years,” the US interim prosecutor in Minnesota, Joe Thompson, announced by announcing federal charges against Boelter.

As described to ABC News for the source of Congress, recent pizza deliveries are just another potential source of concern.

“People are really scared,” said the source of Congress.

The concerns about pizza deliveries were raised in the calls on Tuesday with officials of the Congress and sergeant of the House of Representatives at Arms William McFarland, said a source of the Congress.

The United States Capitol Police refused to provide ABC News with more details about deliveries, citing an effort to “protect ongoing investigations and minimize the risk of imitators.”

On Monday, before another informative session to discuss the security measures for legislators, the leader of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., launched a video praising the police of the United States Capitol and the Senate Sergeant in Arms for “leaning back for very difficult times and … do an excellent job.”

The officials responsible for enforcing the law told ABC News that many public officials have been sent anonymously in the pizzas in recent years and that it is believed that deliveries are destined to send a potentially threatening message: let the recipients know that the sender knows where he lives.

Federal Judge Esther Salas, whose son, Daniel Anderl, was killed in her home in 2020 by a man who passed through a delivery driver, recently to Linsey Davis of ABC News Prime that “hundreds of pizzas are being given to the personal houses of judges throughout the country.”

“We had heard about the pizzas that are delivered to the houses of the judges, and that says what?” I know where you live, “Salas said, and added that recent pizza deliveries were sent to the houses of other judges, and used the name of their murdered son as a sender.
