The New York helicopter tours, the company involved in the fatal accident in the Hudson River, is closing its operations immediately, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Six people were killed, including three children, when a tourist helicopter immersed himself in the Hudson River in New York City on Thursday afternoon.

Following the mortal incident, FAA said it will also launch an immediate license and the security registration of the tourist operator.

The agency said it is analyzing the access points of aircraft and helicopters throughout the country and will organize a helicopter security panel on April 22 to discuss additional findings, risks and mitigation options.

“Security is the number one priority of FAA, and we will not hesitate to act to protect the flying public,” said the agency in a statement on Sunday.
